Our world is a competitive place, and capacity building is key. Election and other behaviour-changing campaigns are not won by international teams flying in to deliver “turn-key” solutions; they are won through a combination of international and local experience, expertise and capability. Winning the next election or launching a national campaign might be a short-term goal, but the real prize is to develop a local team with the skills, methodology and technology to build a world-class communications strategy which will be effective for years to come.
