Doing ‘OK’ is not enough; we are here to make your team the best.
Our world is a competitive place, and capacity building is key. Election and other behaviour-changing campaigns are not won by international teams flying in to deliver “turn-key” solutions; they are won through a combination of international and local experience, expertise and capability. Winning the next election or launching a national campaign might be a short-term goal, but the real prize is to develop a local team with the skills, methodology and technology to build a world-class communications strategy which will be effective for years to come.
A party audit is helpful in assessing party preparedness and resources before an election campaign begins. The audit consists of a party-wide census to collect membership details. Each individual supporter is then classified politically to determine his or her electoral readiness. This enables the senior campaign team in cooperation with our staff to understand the scope and direction of political mobilisation to be undertaken in preparation for a future poll. Party policies, structures and capacities can be analysed by us in relation to their impact upon likely polling day success.
Along with the technical means to create a voter database, we can provide the training required to properly utilise the resource. Party members at all levels can be capacitated to use our bespoke IT systems through in-field and online learning. With an excellent track record of delivering technology in concert with the requisite system training, so that our clients can fully exploit the advantages of voter management systems as quickly as possible. Over the long term, we impart a technological awareness to the partners we work with, instructing them not only in current solutions but preparing them for future advances in the technological arena. In preparation for an electoral campaign, party staff with a keen technological awareness and the skill to utilise a voter database are a key asset for any candidate and must be used accordingly.
A modern party needs to be flexible and dynamic in order to win competitive elections. Our experienced campaign consultants can isolate possible structural improvements and draft a strategy for improving party hierarchies, communications and operating processes for both national and local elections. Reforms both large and small, when based on trusted outside observations, can make a party stronger and allow it to grow. In the midst of a campaign, the analysis of party systems can aid senior leadership in implementing new internal procedures to reinvigorate the membership and streamline the functions of party staff.
Raising sufficient funding for an election campaign is a prerequisite to success. Our team has assisted dozens of political parties with their campaign financing programmes and has over 25 years' experience in developing fundraising schemes to ensure that not only enough resources are raised, but that it is raised in a timely manner. Such programmes include presenting to pre-identified donor groups, establishing grassroots contribution avenues, Internet fundraising, SMS/email donation marketing and fundraising events.
Candidates do not get elected just from work occurring inside a campaign HQ; they rely on a mixture of central planning and its subsequent delivery in the field. Campaign fieldwork often involves a blend of national strategy and local level considerations, which must actively live and evolve amongst the electorate. Failure to adequately marshal the ground aspect of a campaign is often a key cause of campaign failure.
